    Hi all,

we hade some problems with different VMs during the Hyper-V VSA Backup. This problem occures by different vms:

Failure Reason:Server\\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\CSV{2461825b-ff68-4336-971a-8ef9f3077552}\Server\Snapshots\9B2FF973-4B31-4C27-AFA1-AC20D5DAF4CB.xml Failed Virtual machine [Server] configuration file [\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\CSV{2461825b-ff68-4336-971a-8ef9f3077552}\Server\Snapshots\9B2FF973-4B31-4C27-AFA1-AC20D5DAF4CB.xml] is missing or inaccessible, hence skipped in this backup, Server\SUP_Clonvorlage_disk_1-AutoRecovery.avhdx Failed Virtual hard disk [C:\ClusterStorage\APSUP04\Server\SUP_Clonvorlage_disk_1-AutoRecovery.avhdx] attached to virtual machine is missing or inaccessible, hence skipped in this backup

when we move the vm to another datastore the backup is working for a while but than the same error occures.

    We are Running CV11SP10+

do you have an idear ?

    Hi Smith,

From the log snipet it appears that you are runnign application consistent backup and the VM is failing to create an appconsistent check point. There could be intermittant VSS errors inside the guest.

Could you please disable backup (volume checkpoint) Integeration service and attempt the backup again. Let us know how this goes.

    Thanks

    Sanjay
