    Hi,

I've had quite a bit off success in our vmbackups lately having staggered the times and split up the datastores, however 3 vms are showing errors on backup " Failed Failed to collect disk block information"

EXDAG3\[ESX_DR_01] EXDAG3/EXDAG3-000002.vmdk Failed Failed to collect disk block information

Any thoughts on where to look?

Do you see any errors within VMware at the time of the backup? You may want to check the vsbkp log file on the VSA proxy for the exact time the error you are seeing occurs, and then see if there are any matching events with VMware.

Check to see if snapshot consilidation is still needed once the backup completes and/or try to vMotion the machine(s) to a different datastore and perform a backup.

    Issue resolved now.

I had moved from folder based management to datastores and had inadvertantly added the DR datastore in with the first pair of prod stores. They conflicted. Removed the DR datastore 2 nights ago and all is well :)

    Thank you for your responses.
