the link for "Posts you have not read" is a useful tool on any forum, however it would be great to then have an option on that page to mark all of those posts read so that they wont show up the next time you check for new messages.  It seems now the only alternative would be to actually view each topic individually to mark it read, or view each forum individually and mark all posts read.

I could not agree more that would really be a big help and nice improvement!

    SReents,

Thanks, you bring up a good point.

We actually do have a way of marking all posts in an Forum section as read, using the "Forum Options" button located toward the bottom of the page:

This expands out to look like this:

If you choose "mark all read" it will mark all the threads within that forum as read so it goes from this:

    and shows up like this:

We'll see about expanding this in someway to the "Posts you have not read" link, and make it a bit more noticeable and intuitive to use.

Ooh, what does that button do?

Thanks, that is the functionality i was referring to when i said you could go into each forum to mark posts ready.

If that same functionality could be applied to the "View all unread posts" view it would be great

I agree...  It would make the process much more efficient.

Is it possible to add a "MARK ALL READ" button at the bottom of the "Posts you have not read" page?

Has there been any response on this? Having to go to each separate forum section than options than mark all read takes more time and steps than it should. All forums I have ever seen always have a mark all read option somewhere easily accessible.

    Thanks
