    Hi,

We are currently using Simpana 8 and have the capacity licensing model. The scenario we have is below:

We have two Sites A and B. Site A contains a 5TB SQL Database. We need to move the DB to Site B within a 4hour downtime window. The problem we face is that we cannot backup and restore the database with the 4hour timeframe, we also dont have SQL Mirroring so we cannot use this.

An idea we have had is to copy the Database over to Site B and then Sync the database using CDR. Therefore when we are ready to switch over the database we will be able to have a working copy to switch our services over. Is it possible to Sync Data using this method with CDR if so how is this done if not is there any other methods we could use?

Thanks and any ideas are appreciated

Were you able to use the Out of Band sync method to preseed the destination side with the SQL DB?  Please reply if you are having any issues with that process.

    Thank You
