Is anyone using a CommVault de-duplicated maglib to store their file archives? Is this supported? If so are there any gotcha's? Is it much slower than recovering direct from disk?

    Hello Natman,

Many customers are using CommVault’s deduplication solution, and it is supported with file archiving, though it should be noted that deduplication ratios across archived data will not be as high as that for backup data, as archive data by nature is not repetitive.

There is no impact to restore performance with deduplicated data.
