    Dedup rate

    I would like to extract information concerning the rate of dedup?

    Do you have a rule or equation to measure this rate ?

    From the library, "Disk Usage", i note the information "Space savings."
    I must take this figure and then consider ...
    "Space savings" = 51.03% = 2:1?

    info Source
    2:1 = 50%
    3:1 = 66%
    5.1 = 80%
    10:1 = 90%

    thank you

    You better check your dedup ratio your deduplication store.
    Go to the storage policy that has deduplication enabled. If you have global dedup store(s) go to this storage policy.

    Get the properties of the primary copy with deduplication enabled, go to the deduplication tab. There you can found the amount of data that is on the disk and the amount that is saved with deduplication.

    Use the "Storage Policy" report.

    At the bottom of your report, there will be some info on the DDB stores active (and sealed), their data, and the actual size.

    This will allow you to calculate the ddup ratio.

    And indeed, ratio's are expressed in percentages within Commvault, so 50% saving, means a ddup ratio of 1:2.
