Trying to start a CDR pair and it keeps failing.  I am notincing that in teh Windows Application log I am seeing this error at the same time the CDR stops

"The VSS service is shutting down due to idle timeout."

Is there any way to increase the timeout?

Hi Jack, hope you are well.

Were you able to get a solution on this one?  Which VSS Providor are you currently using.

Could you post the exact application even log output here as well.

The only VSS providers are the Windows 2008 R2 provider and the Commvault Provider. Nothing in the app log other than the VSS time out and shut down log that seems to be at the same time the CDR stops

CDR will use the MS VSS Provider.  Please review the following MS TechNet llink as it will show you how to increase the timeout
