Im trying to set up a schedule as follows but this doesnt seem posssible:

    Week 1
    Monday - incremental
    Tuesday - incremental
    Wednesday - incremental
    Thursday - incremental
    Friday - incremental

    Week 2
    Monday - incremental
    Tuesday - incremental
    Wednesday - incremental
    Thursday - incremental
    Friday - FULL

At the moment my incremental schedule policy is to backup mon-thursday and the full to backup on Friday. The Fulls are pushing us over our iSP cap and so we want stretch out the frequency of the Fulls to one every two weeks and then run an incremental on the Fridays that arent running Fulls.

    Any ideas?

For the schedule policy, you can have one for Incremental.  Set it to Weekly and check the options for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.  Hit the Exceptions button and add an exception for the second and fourth Friday.

For the Full schedule, you can set it to Weekly and check just Friday.  You can click the Exceptions button and set two exceptions for the First and Third Friday to not run.

I would also change the backup type to synthetic full if you can and that saves using a lot of your ISP cap.

This is Simpana 8 SP6. I can only see an advanced button to add 1 exception not 2 (see attached pic).

    Hi Lamont,

These new exception options are in v10, upgrading will help in this case. Also for v8 you can schedule the Incremental the same time as the Full, just stagger the schedule to make the Full run before the Inc time, so if the Inc kicks in, it will just fail out.
