    Hi there,

    can anyone tell me, what I have to insert in the "install.xml" for Client Installationpackages, so that the Clientname on the one hand will register with FQDN, an the Hostname will use a special DNS Suffix other than default or even Shortname.

    In multihomed Serverenvironment, I'd like to use a specific Server Interface for communication towards MediaAgents and CommServe. It will be a lot easier, if the installationpackages include the correct information for hostname and clientname.

    You need to create a Variable/Input and set this as follows:

    <clientEntity clientName="xpath:{/workflow/inputs/CV_CLIENT_NAME}" hostName="xpath:{/workflow/inputs/CV_HOST_NAME}" physClientName="" physHostName="" vcsServiceGroup="">

    or when you are using command line arguments

    -clientName xxxxx -hostName
