Hi I have a question about the Laptop Registration Workflow.  Here's what I have in mind and I'm wondering if this is possible...

-Create a generic installer package for each OS with no policies or client computer groups defined.

-Setup Client Computer Groups with Automatic Association based on OS and hostname.

-Have 3 Sub Client Policies per divison(1 for for each OS.)

-Reconfigure the Laptop registration workflow to run when a new machine is installed and based on the group it goes into, assign a subclient policy and anything else it needs.

The goal is to have Client Computer Groups:

[Divison A Computers, Divison A Servers, Divison B Computers,  Divison  B Servers etc..]

    Subclient Policies:

[Divison A Windows Users (Div.A storage Policy), Divison A Linux Users (Div.A storage Policy), Divison B Windows Users(Div.B storage Policy), Divison B Linux Users (Div.B storage Policy)]

But be able to have a generic installer for all the Divisons to share.

Is this the best way to approch this?

Is the content going to be different for each division? Also is your question about whether this is possible to do using workflows?

Content  should be the same but different storage policies, MA's and libraries.

Well yes, I wanted to make sure I'm approching this correctly.  I've never made a workflow before so I have some work to do.  I see the CommVault documentation and video so I've been starting there.  Just looking for any advice that might help on this.

How did this end up? Were you able to accomplish this?
