Does anyone know of a way I can get the lists of files that were skipped, restored and failed from a restore job. I would like to generate an email at the end of my workflow with those details.

Hi Jmills, hope you are well.

Believe the Job Summary Report --> Selection tab has some of these options.

Actually the failed files aren't even showing up in the job details at all, which is odd. I am starting the job with qoperation execute -af (against an XML file) in the file I have three files listed

    <sourceItem>/path/to/File1.txt</sourceItem>
    <sourceItem>/path/to/File2.txt</sourceItem>
    <sourceItem>/path/to/File3.txt</sourceItem>

If File3.txt doesnt exist the job will claim that 2 files were restored, 0 failed, 0 skipped. I wouldn't think that is what should happen.

Failed files list unlike protected objects list is retained temporarily per the Job Results parameter on the client properties, if its older than that parameter you won't see the list usually on the job details.

They aren’t showing up immediately after the job completes. It’s like the job doesn’t even acknowledge they were ever requested. It does this consistently with any file that doesn’t exist in the backup.
