    Hi

We're currently testing data archiving with a view to rolling it out to the business.

We had some issues with our testing and were advised to delete any remaining archive jobs and remove the archive agent from our test client.

Or to put it another way, we want to start over again.

Running a licence summary report shows that we are still using around 100Gb of licence (also shown in the licence GUI).

Is there any way to remove this i.e. set our licence use back to zero ?

    Hope I explained that ok.

    Regards

    Neil

    Hi

Should have mentioned we're still on V9.0 :-)

I think it has something to do with the "actual data" needing a FULL backup to clear down the licence ?

    We're going to try that.

Thanks, the overall principle is that Archive unlike Data Protection is cumulative, meaning all jobs will count, not just the Last Full or SynFull job, see more below for a v9 outline on how to decrease Capacity usage.

    Hi

Thanks for taking the time to look at this.

It is strange that we have deleted the archive agent and only have the idata file agent remaining?

I'll update later on what we find

Just makes sure to run Data Aging, that should recalculate the usage, then run the License report, you should see the usage drop.
