We are considering rolling out OnePass Archiving and I have a question about the following scenario.

Lets say I have VM1 which is running Windows 2008 and this VM has a virtual HDD named Disk2.VHD attached to it which has stubbed files held within.  I then spin up a new VM named VM2, install the CV Agent and file recall driver and detach Disk2.VHD from VM1 and attach it to VM2.

Will VM2 be able to recall the files that were originally stubbed on VM1?  Thanks!

Yes, VM2 would be able to recall the files that were originally stubbed on VM1. So long as the VM1 subclient data hasnt been aged/deleted from the backend storage.

You'll need the one pass driver for installed on vm2 for the recalls.
