    Hi

    Version 10 SP9

Commvault Onepass has been setup to archive data (CIFS) that hasnt been touched for 90 days.

Currently the setup storage policy usses:

Basic Retention Rule for All Backups: Infinite

Basic Retention Rule for Data/Compiance Archiver data: Infinite (I believe this one is ignored by OnePass).

We run incremental backups every day (Onepass enabled) and Synthetic Fulls every 6 months.

These 2 things combined give a very big amount of incremental jobs with in the history overview and a big amount of data on the disklibrary.

We would like to remove / age al the incremtal jobs when Synthetic full jobs has run succefully and save the Synthetic Full jobs for a longer time.

And we would like to set this up without losing any data that has been archived during incremental jobs.

After selecting the Retain for option within "Basic Retention Rule for All Backups" the following option is avalibale: "Do not retain intermediate incrementals and diffrentials before a new differential".

Is this the option that could help us out?

Hi RAW That option will work if you are running Differential backups, not only Incs.
