    Hi,

We want to remove the ContentStore node in Outlook. We use the Close "ContentStore" option. Everytime when we log in into Outlook, UpdateCVProfile.exe runs and the ContentStore node is there again however. How can we prevent the ContentStore node from appearing?

    Thanks!

    Hi Pal,

Would you please confirm whether or not these are the steps you have tried already?

Remove the ContentStore Email Viewer Node
You can remove the ContentStore Email Viewer node from Outlook.

In Outlook, right-click the ContentStore Email Viewer node and click Close "ContentStore."
The ContentStore Email Viewer Node is removed from Outlook.
Restore the ContentStore Email Viewer Node
If you removed the ContentStore Email Viewer node from Outlook, you can restore it by running the UpdateCVProfile application.

If Outlook is running, close Outlook.
Go to the <installation directory>\CVArchiverAddin folder and run UpdateCVProfile.exe.
Open Outlook and verify that the ContentStore node is visible.

    Thank you
    Jim

    Hi Jim,

We have indeed tried these steps.

It seems msiexec doesn't support the parameter ExtraParameters="-skip". (We want to use RES Automation Manager to install the Outlook Add-In on Citrix servers).

    Thanks.

    Hi Pal,

In that case you may have to manually remove the OL Add-in with Content Store and Deploy the option with no content store:

    Download Software

Download the installation file by clicking the link below as per your requirement:

    Kind Regards
    Jim

    Hi Jim,

Uninstalling and reinstalling w/o Content Store indeed solved the problem! BUT, an additional step was needed, i.e. deleting the user profile. Seems that installing w Content Store writes something in the profile, which causes Outlook to stop responding when having uninstalled the Content Store. Uninstalling the Add-In and reinstalling w/o Content Store PLUS deleting the user profile solved everything.

    Thanks again.

    Hello,

I only need to remove the ContenStore Account from the users Outlook profile. Does anyone hava a solution (script, etc.) to do this WITHOUT local admin rights? The command "CVPConfigurationTool.exe -u" needs local admin rights to run successfully.

    Thank you.
