    Hi Chris,

in case of san backupmode you need to promote the datastore LUNs to your VSA.
Are you sure you did this ? or can see the LUNs in the "Disk Management" of your VSA ?

what about the "san policy" in you 2012R12 Server (diskpart) ?

other than in Windows 2008, in 2012R2 you cannot even read data from 'offline' volumes.
so this might also be part of your problem

    Hi Klaus,

Diskmgr looks good i see the datastore Lun on the VSA.

Maybe a problem with the mulitpathing software? it should be just one disk.

This policy is set in the diskpart

    Diskpart:

    SAN Policy: Online All.

    regards Chris

    Hi Chris,

    yes, you're right.
Multipath Software must be working, if multiple paths are presented to the VSA.

but your disks are shown as being "offline", so this wont work, even if this were two datastores with correct multipath software in place unless you bring them "online"

    regards
    Klaus
