Our current CI Engine is getting close to the 30million limit.  Has anyone set up a multi-instance engine using the same node?  Any issues during the process?

    Thanks

    Hello

Please follow the steps outlined to virtualize the current Index.

     http://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=products/content_index/search_engine_adv_config.htm#Moving_a_Search_Engine_Index_to_a_Virtual_Machine_

Having muti-instance engine is recommended based on the H/W configuration.

We have already had it confirmed that our H/W specs are enough to host a multi-instance engine.  I am looking for info if anyone has done it before and how it went when setting it up.

    Thanks.

Please check the link below to enable through registry and proceed 2nd instance of search-engine.

Make sure to select different port than the first instance. By default it is 27000 for the first instance. You can select 30000 for the second instance.
