    Hi Team,

I have a plan of taking backup of 200 TB + ( FET). I have planned for 3 MA's with 64 GB RAM and DDB's and Index Cache sizing from my dedicated Backup storage with good IOPS requirement.

Now Question is ? Is it good to have VSA installed on the Same media agent or seperately on VM Proxy ?If VM proxy is good to have, can anyone explain me why ? as if again I ask seperate VM Proxy , is my MA also require this much RAM ?

    Can anyone clarify please ?

    Hello Maersk

Are you using V10 or V11?

Would the VSA be protected via NBD or SAN?

I can not speak for Maersk, but I am on V11.    I have always kept my VSA and media agent agents on together on the same box.   I have recently comtemplated seperating the roles to seperate servers, possibly haveing serveral VSA agents shareing a media agent, to reduce the # of storage policies.

Anyone have any thoughts pro, or con?
