Hmmmm, here is my question, and maybe someone out there has had to deal with this already.  Archiving Windows file servers, which are using Windows quotas, we are concerned with someone in our group initiating an antivirus scan of every file on our archived file servers which will initiate a restore of every file.  Now if the all of the returned data still fits within the Windows quota then no problem.  If all of the data that is coming back does not fit within the quota any longer, problem.

Anyone out there deal with Windows quotas, OnePass and antivirus scans?

    Hi Mike,

    There are two things here.

Onepass should not trigger recall on anti-virus scan. You can configure anti-virus exclusion by following white papers on documentation. This will avoid triggering recalls on anti-virus scan.

     http://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v10/article?p=products/fs_archive_win/r_one_pass_white_papers.htm

Even for any other recalls, if the recalled data  exceeds disk quota, Onepass recall service will fail the recall with access denied error.

    Thanks,

    Poorna
