    Hello

    I have two questions :

    1) Is there a way to remove a disk library from a Storage policy without deleting the SP? The Disk library has been defined into the Global deduplication policy for a mistake. Although the disk library is empty, if I try to delete it, Simpana return the following message:

'Deletion of a disk path is not allowed since the copy has Deduplication enabled"

Deleting the storage policy is a huge activity due the very high number of jobs inside it.

If the deletion of SP cannot be avoided, which is the best approach to overcome this issue?

    Thanks

    any help is appreciated.

    Giovanni

Unfortunately you have to delete the GDP before deleting the Library. To delete a GDP you need to delete all associated SP's which means you will loose all of the data. If the copy is not a primary copy of the SP then you can replicate the data to another copy without dedupe and then delete this copy. so that the data is still available for recovery

If it is assocaited with the primary copy then there is not other way except deleting the SP as far as i am aware. However you can use media explore to restore data from the DISK if it is not zeroed out.
