What are the pro's v cons of a virtualized commserve as against a clustered commserver ?

I see alot of documentation online describing the clustered configuration (, but have not found other than a reference in commvault concepts & design strategy book  to a virtualized environment ?

The diagram in the book makes sense as before that anytime a commvault sales person was saying virtualized I thought VM = you are mad virtualizing the backup/restore environment.
