    Hello,

I wanted to ask this question because we are stumped here as to what happened. A couple of years ago about 2 months after we implemented our CommVault environment to backup our remote field offices with AuxCopy back to our LAN center we found the need to also change our strategy for Dash Copy to "Network Read Optimized" and use the Additional setting UseCacheDB =1. This was due to Aux Copy was too slow for "Disk Read Optimized" using our implementation strategy here.

Everything was running fine for almost 2 years until recently. Our Aux Copy jobs began to slow down and back log to a point where we several weeks behind. Upon root cause analysis, we discovered that UseCacheDB was missing from all of our MediaAgents. GUI audit did not show UseCacheDB changes in the past year.

That same day we reintroduced UseCacheDB = 1 to our media agents and the Aux Copy began to move again at an acceptable rate.

Has anybody else seen such an issue?
