    Hi,

Due to the old hardware issue, there are limited available space to backup on the harddisk. Not enough to backup the data i required.

Is it possible/advisable to configure USB portable harddisk as a disklib and do a aux copy to another portable harddisk as a backup?

yes you can unless there is no deduplication database will reside on this disk, you can configure a secondary copy on the USB disk or something like Fujitsu RDX which is a USB device with disks acting as tape cartridges

USB support is documented under PNP devices in the Library section:

Would suggest to do some test restores as well so you have a benchmark of how fast you can recover in case of DR.
