I've got a commserve with ~150+ VADP subclients, each with up to 30 servers (each subclient is a datastore).  We need to stagger our operational windows for DDB backups and business hours as a global window has caused snapshot storms in the past with 500 remove snapshot tasks in a couple of minutes.

This is the doco for the qscript.

    http://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=features/cli/qscripts/CommServ.QS_CreateOperationWindowRule.Readme.html

    Syntax:

qoperation execscript -sn createoperationwindowrule -si ClientName/ClientGroupName/commserve -si OperationType -si DayofWeek -si Startdate -si Enddate -si StartTime -si EndTime -si Enable -si ApplicationName -si Description

Please expand the below si to allow for backupsets and partciulary subclients.

Where (ClientName/ClientGroupName/commserve) would be 'c=testclient' for client name OR 'cg=testGroup' for client group name OR 'commserve'

Otherwise consider having an "operational window" table similar to the schedule policies window in the GUI which would also work.

    Cheers
