    Good Afternoon,

    Does anyone know the table/view that retains the infromation about the servers that are assocatied to VSA subclients?  At the moment, the only way that I know how to pull this information is using the query below.  What I don't like about this method is that it relying on the backup to get the list of VMs that are being protected under the subclient.

    My end goal is to be able to automate the provisioning of customers that subscribe to this type of backup.

    Hi,

    Are you only looking for DB query to get the protected VMs list from subclients ? or a report would do? e.g. Vm Backup Report.

    Thanks,

    Or is there a way to pull this information via the API?

    Good Morning,

    I was able to find the table (APP_SubClientProp) that dynamically stores the information pretaining to the VSA subclient.  My problem now is how do you parse the output from the SQL query below.

    SQL Query:

    declare @MyVM asvarchar (50)

    set @MyVM ='WILLI001-VM011'

    selectdistinct a.clientid, a.clientname,c.name, b.subclientName,d.attrVal

    from CommServ.dbo.CommCellSubClientConfig as a, CommServ.dbo.APP_Application as b, CommServ.dbo.APP_BackupSetName as c, CommServ.dbo.APP_SubClientProp as d

    where a.clientname ='VSA_LAB2VCS01'

    and a.clientid = b.clientId

    and b.subclientStatus != 4

    and b.subclientStatus != 32

    and b.backupSet = c.id

    and c.name ='WILLI001'

    and b.id = d.componentNameId

    and d.attrName ='Virtual Server Dyanimc Content'

    and d.attrVal like'%'+ @MyVM +'%'

    SQL Output:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no" ?><VirtualServer_VMSubClientEntity><children allOrAnyChildren="0" displayName="" equalsOrNotEquals="1" name="" path=""/><children allOrAnyChildren="0" displayName="WILLI001-VM011" equalsOrNotEquals="1" name="" path="" type="10"/></VirtualServer_VMSubClientEntity>

    XML Edititor:

    <VirtualServer_VMSubClientEntity>
     <children displayName="" allOrAnyChildren="0" equalsOrNotEquals="1" name="" path=""/>
     <children displayName="WILLI001-VM011" allOrAnyChildren="0" equalsOrNotEquals="1" name="" path="" type="10"/>
    </VirtualServer_VMSubClientEntity>
