    We run 11.0 SP7 with the VSA on a VM in hotadd mode.

    Last week I ran the initial full so most of the data had to go over the wire to the MA and was written to disk via a SP that uses Global DDB.

    Around 3TB was written to disk.

    This week I'm running the second full so whilst there will of course be some changes I'm seeing around 50% of the data still going over the wire yet after the full backup only 55GB of new data is written to disk which makes sense.

    Why is so much data still going over the network to the MA though?

    I have the subclient set to "Client" for software compression with dedupe enabled and also set to "Client".

    I know DDB policy can override this so on the global DDB policy and on the primary SP copy compression and client dedupe are disabled so the subclient preferences should apply as I understand it.

    This doesn't feel right with the amount I'm seeing over the wire so I want to confirm if I understand correctly?
