We installed the latest Microsoft patches to all of our SQL servers (2014 and 2016) in response to this latest ransom wear attack. After rebooting the SQL servers, our 2016 servers started getting the error 30:302 Auto Discovery failed. We reset all of the impersonate user accounts on all of the servers and verified that Article ID: SQL0019 Backup and restore jobs running on a SQL server fail with Error Code [30:325] was still configured on all of the SQL 2016 servers. We finally got it working by disabling the Auto-Discovery on the server subclient and then doing a full back-up on the SQL 2016 server. This fixed the issue for us. This only affected our SQL 2016 servers, 2014 had no issues after the patching being able to performing backups and restores. I was just wondering if anyone else had seen this issue.
