    Hi all,

Please refer to the image below.
In OnePass for Windows Files, I understand it is by design that, if only the "archiver retention" option is selected, then Synthetic Full would be disabled and un-selectable.
This behavior is explained very clearly here:
    http://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=products/fs_archive_win/r_retention_options.htm

My question is, if you cannot position Synthetic Fulls between the forever-going Incrementals, then how does one even define what a "cycle" is anymore?
E.g., if you configure the Storage Policy Retention to be 2 cycles, then is it even possible to actually reach the 2nd cycle, given that the 1st "cycle" will last forever?

In the pure archiver (when only archiver retention is set), documentation confirms that only the days portion of the storage policy settings will be used and the cycles portion is ignored. Please let us know if the doc is unclear.

Can you please point me to that line in the documentation?
Also, wouldn't the original Full Backup never age if there will be no newer Synth fulls?

    Thanks for your help.
