I was hoping that it would also be possible to change the NetApp OCUM that a Storage Policy uses, however it appears within the GUI that this is not changable. (For example, when changing from OCUM managed 7-mode storage to CDOT storage)

Also it appears that it is not possible to clone a Storage Policy and then change the OCUM.

If it is something that is now possible (in v11 SP8 or later) please let me know. Otherwise, would it be something that could be incorporated in a future release?

    Hi Richard

At the moment I don't believe it will be possible to change the OCUM Appliance once it is associated to a specific Storage Policy.

The potential reason behind it is Dataset relationship on CommVault is bind to a specific subclient, however this dataset relationship is also managed in the OCUM/DFM Database. Any changes could cause relationship not being conformant, resulting in re-baseline.

As such, when utilizing new OCUM/DFM appliance it is recommended to create new Storage Policy.

    Thank you
