We haave commvault v11 SP10+ and we have just introduced a new media agent server. We have attached the storage to it and created a DDB policy. I can see the DDBBackup subclient job created but I don't see the indexbackup job getting created. Is there a setting I have missed or I have to wait for a bit before it gets created?

    Hi Yungk,

Yes, that is correct. You will need to wait aprox 24 hours after an Indexing version 2 backup completes.

(note that the IndexBackup subclient appears on a MediaAgent approximately 24 hours after a successful Indexing Version 2 data backup job completes on the MediaAgent).

Backup agents which support Indexing version 2 can be found here -

    Best regards,
