    v11 SP10

    Hi,

When I check on Cache Details in Software Cache Configuration, it only shows one entry for each OS such as WinX64 and linux-X8664. Does it mean the cache has all components of Commvault such as media agent, VSA, client file system, SQL server agent, etc. for the paticular OS?

    Thanks,

That does not have to be the case, it depends on which packages are copied or downloaded to cache.
The option you are looking at tells you which service packs and additional updates are available in the cache.

You should be able to see if any install packages are available when looking at the section Install Media Cache on the Commserve Software Cache tab, if a timestamp is shown you do have packages available.

You can check the binaryPayload directory within your software cache for available installers.
Also you could download the needed packages via a media kit and perform a copy software which will populate the SW cache.

The software downloaded is by OS\Processor type. Depending on your selection it will download all the available packages.
