    I am new to commvault. I need to generate a list of VM's being backed up.
    From the Commvault console, I see them under client computers => Virtual Server => VMware => defaultBackupSet => Subclient's. Under properties of each Subclient in content tab, I see the VM's. I can list the subclients using "Subclient?clientId=4" (4 is an example of one of the vcenter), but not sure how to list the actual VM's under each subclient

    Here is one of the element from "Subclient?clientId=4" REST API call

    "clientName":"houpvc01_vcenter","instanceName":"VMware","backupsetId":9,"_type_":7,"instanceId":5,"subclientGUID":"54370EB1-3607-43BF-B45D-0B25F331ED9C","subclientId":29,"clientId":4,"appName":"Virtual Server","backupsetName":"defaultBackupSet","applicationId":106,"subclientName":"HOUP-SPLIT5"

    Thanks in advance

    Figured it out myself.  Instead of GET Job Details, I used POST Job Details.

    Downloaded Rest API Postman collection from the following URL and it did wonders. Without it, I would probably be still struggling.

    Attached sample Postman script for Python.

    import requests

    url = "http://<commvault server>:81/SearchSvc/CVWebService.svc/JobDetails"

    payload = "{\r\n \"jobId\": <jobId>\r\n}"
    headers = {
    'Accept': "application/json",
    'Authtoken': "QSDK <Auth Token>",
    'Content-Type': "application/json",
    'Cache-Control': "no-cache",
    'Postman-Token': "<Postman-Token>"

    response = requests.request("POST", url, data=payload, headers=headers)
