    Hello there,

    We have a Commvault v11 SP11 installed.

In a Windows File Server Cluster formed by two Windows 2012R2 Storage Servers, we have a infraestructure like this:

    -          "Volumen_Z_Pruebas" Is the role

    -          For each Role, there is a IP reference for each service

In the commvault configuration, we have the 5 clients configured.

When the role change to the other cluster node, it hangs for exactly 2 minutes. We have observed that the shutdown of one of the commvault services stops instantly but the other 4 hangs for those 2 minutes.

We have observed that when the role of the cluster is experiencing a switchover, the "GxClusPlugIn" services try to stop all at once. However, stopping services from "Process Manager" must be done one at a time. This is the only difference we have found between one environment and another. We cannot control the way in which services become offline.

We cannot afford that when a failover happens.

Is there any timeout configuration, or solution for this issue? The Commvault Support send us to Microsoft and Microsoft to Commvault...

    Thanks and regards,

Can you expand on what conclusions we're reached by CommVault and why Microsoft disagreed? Is there an open ticket with Microsoft or CommVault?

CommVault Support tried to shutdown the services by the process manager and they shut down correctly (one after another), then tried to do the same by the Windows Role Manager (switchover ) and it stops the services all at once, so there apears that 2 minutes of waiting time. They tell us that it is a Microsoft Issue.

Microsotf tell us that its a Commvault issue... No help either...

    Hi,

This issue is fixed in SP12. The issue happens when you try to failover more than one group at the same time.

    thanks,
