    Hi,

When updating the Ocum used for snapshot backup what considerations are neccesary? We will only update the version to a newer one(which is still compliant). No new hostname, IPs or such.

-What should be done before the update starts?

    -What should be tested afterwards?

    -Other?

    Best regards,

If there is no configuration change you should be fine.

When finished updating check if your transport to SnapVault/SnapMirror still works, not expecting any issues here

Thanks for the swift and good response.

Is there any recommended way to check the connectivety to the Ocum from the commserve? CVPing or such tool?

OCUM 9.4 is supported in Version 11 Service Pack 13 as per http://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11_sp13/article?p=33750.htm

You can use telnet or cvping from the Commserve and MediaAgent to connect to the hostname. When specifying a port you will need to specify port 443
