    we have a service account user that was part of a active directory group we enabled for 2fa. 

    we removed the user from the group over two days ago but the commcell gui still shows the user part of the active directory group if you click on properties of the user and they are still prompted for 2fa 

     

    how do we get the commserve to refresh the users active directory groups?

    Hi, can you please log in once with the PIN. 

    We update the user group membership during login. After the first login, the user group membership would get updated and after that for subsequent logins, this issue will go off and you can log in without PIN.

    yes the problem is it is a service account that does not have an email, although we can get around this by potentially giving the user an email address, sure the commserve should check when the user logs in its current group membership and if 2fa is required?

    Ideally yes, the solution I gave was a workaround. It is a 1-time operation, once the first login goes ahead with PIN, then we are good.
