I have two RAC nodes, with a shared storage, is it possible to use the (1 Touch Backup), to backup each Cluster node, and restore it to another server with the same name and configuration, in case of one node failure?

    Hi RamiK

Yes, but I would filter out the shared data from the backup.  I suspect that shared data is probably the database data files.   Use the RAC client in Commvault to protect the database.

If you lose a node, you can use the 1-touch recovery to bring that back.  As the database is RAC, and if the shared storage remains intact, then the database will keep running.  If you do encounter a problem with the database, you can always restore it with the backup from the RAC agent.

    Hope this helps...
