I ordered some tapes for my IBM tape library, the last few times they have been coming with the barcodes pre-attached (I specify the numbering) this time they have arrived without labels, I do have a few sheets of old labels lying about from the times I used to apply them myself.
I know that having or using duplicate barcodes can cause bother (even if the duplicates are not in the library, for restore etc).
Anyway the question is can I run a report to see what barcodes have ever been used in my library (there is only about 500) most of them off site now, if the barcodes I have, have never been used I can happily put them on the new unbarcoded tapes that have arrived and get going again as at the moment I am out of scratch tapes!
