    Hello everyone,

Yesterday I stumbled across some backups on my primary disk storage that should have aged out weeks ago.  I have ticket 181220-587 open with CommVault support to resolve this but I wonder how many of these type of backups I have laying around.

My question is:  Is there a report that shows backups with a Retain Until date that is in the past?

I understand that the Retain Until date is only set at the time of the initial backup and is not recalculated should subsequent backups fail (which would affect the cycles portion of the retention).  Nonetheless, the failure of subsequent backups is not the situation I have - hence the support ticket.  Does anyone know of a report that would show these backups?

    Thanks

    Ken

I ran a Storage Information report, direct the output to CSV, load the results into excel, and sort on the Retain Data Until column.  Perhaps not the cleanest solution but it gives me what I need.

Nonetheless, any other recommendations are welcome.

    Ken

Compare against the forecast report for the same dataset. You should see whats keeping it. Aux Copy that hasn't run, cycle isn't over, etc.
