    Hi Guys,

One feature that would help me out from an operations perspective is the ability to change the storage policy post back up.

1.Server Is backed up by the production storage policy

2.Server fails or is decommissioned incorrectly

Data stays on disk unless specific secondary copies are made in the storage policy to push all data to tape for that one host.

What I would like to be able to do is the following:

1.Server Is backed up by the production storage policy

2.Server fails or is decommissioned incorrectly

3.Admin changes the last Synthetic full backup to be retained by the Archive policy or Changes the storage policy to the Archive policy and runs the Synthetic full again without needing the host to be online

Note - Archive Policy pushes all data to tape and off Disk storage in the above Scenario's. Not Commvault Archiving.

Server is decommissioned from the backups appropriately and no extra intervention is needed at a storage policy level.
