    Hi alligator89

    This could be a potential Java Caching issue, can you please close the CommCell GUI and reload to check. 

    If the above doesn't work, can you please disable and renable the Backup Activity, as well as opening up the "EvMgrS.log" this will shed additional details on the potential reason why Backup Activity is disabled.

    i tried these options, still the same.

    In EvMgrS.log its showing proper updates, backup disabled and backup enabled.

    Are you in the CommServe GUI itself and not a remote GUI? Can you send a screenshot?

    Apparently as per Commvault its a bug in v11 SP12 wherein when we try to right click on the Big Data Apps under the IndexServer(SPs) clients, it only shows Add to Favorites option,

    So they gave a fix and we ran it on the commserve ;then the red mark was gone and now backups are happening fine.

    Also we ran the following on our Commserve (BDA.xml) to fix the issue.
