  • After the re-installation, the serial number and registration number changed

    Hello
     Reinstalled CommVault v10. Applied license was previously obtained and worked.
     I noticed that the serial number and registration number on the licenses tab have changed, 
    but everything seems to work.
     Questions. 
    1. What can this affect in work? 
    2. Can the serial number and registration number be fixed old?

    Hi bzhezav,

     

    1. Are data protection jobs currently running?

    2. The serial number and registration code are generated uniquely for each installation and cannot be reverted back. There is also no need to revert them as the license file can be updated with the new details by support.

    Hi bzhezav,

     

    If the jobs are running successfully you will not have issued with this license.

    If anything does occur at a later date it will not be due to the Serial Number and Registration Code  but something that was going to occur anyway such as an evaluation date.
