You can disable/change/delete the schedule on the console.  If you are asking if there is any way not to create the schedule then the answer is no.  May I ask you why you don't want to run as a schedule?

You can if you are on v11 SP13. You will need to add a reg key to you vm proxy agent. I had the same problem when using app aware for SQL

Description VSA application-aware backups automatically create transaction log backup schedules for database applications such as Oracle and SQL Server. The transaction logs are backed up by default to the same storage policy as the data backups. To skip association of log backups to a storage policy, create this additional setting on the VSA proxy machine and set the value to 1. This additional setting can be used in cases where the user wants to associate transaction log backups with a storage policy of their choice. Configure this additional setting only after the first VSA application-aware backup is successfully run for a VM. If this setting is added before any VSA application-aware backups for a VM have run successfully, then storage policy association for transaction log backups is skipped and transaction log backups might fail. Once configured, this setting applies to all VMs that use the same VSA proxy for backup.
