    Hi,

Might be an obvious one, but how can I confirm that the secondary index server configuration is working?

    Thanks

    Hi Antf

The following documentation provides more details on Secondary Index Server

    http://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=10715.htm

Secondary index server is configured through two additional settings:

    • The first setting, bISSECONDARYINDEXSERVER, is added to the MediaAgent that hosts the copy of the index (that is, the secondary index server).
    • The second setting, sSECONDARYINDEXSERVERNAME, which is added to the primary index server MediaAgent, identifies the secondary index server MediaAgent.
    Hopefully this helps

    Thank you

    Hi,

I've already followed the configuration. But I want to know how I can confirm this is actively working.

    Thanks

    Hi Antf

As the indexes to the secondary MediaAgent, is copied in the background, every 30 minutes, the easiest method is to compare the Index structure under the directory

    • /2/CV_Index

To confirm whether the specific Index are actually copied successfully.

Note the folder strucutre underneath CV_Index are references to specific Client ID.

    Hopefully that helps

    Thank you
