Hi, may I know can I manage the retention period of the logs for all my backups & restore jobs?

I notice that some of my oracle backup job's  RMAN logs got deleted eventhough backup isn't aged.

    Hi PGTFAMD

Depending on the MediaAgent OS installed, there will be different ways to change the Log Version:

    • Windows - you can use the Process Manager, under the Logging Tab, you can change the File Version for a specific Logs
    • Linux - you can modify directly on the registry location on the MediaAgent/Client:
      • /etc/CommVault/Galaxy/Instance001/EventManager/.properties
      • You can use VI to add the <Log File Name>_MAXLOGFILEBACKUPS <amount>
        • CVMA_MAXLOGFILEBACKUPS 5
      • The above will keep up to 5 copies of CVMA.log
    • Note - most logs are 5 MB in size and will vary on the amount (i.e. 5 or 10) of files retained before it rolls over
Hopefully this achieves what you are looking for

    Thank you
