We are configuring a 2 node SAP HANA system (sap01 and sap02) with Hana replication. First node is installed, we created a backup from a tenant on the first one and like to restore it to the same tenant name on the second node.

    Sles12SP3 on IBM Power8, Commvault 11 SP13+

Symbolic links for param and backint are created.
hdbuserstore is created with the correct keys.

It is constantly failing with error:

    Error Code: [18:146]
Description: SAP HANA Error [hdbsql execution Failed. * 449: recovery strategy could not be determined: [110507] Backint exited with exit code 1 instead of 0. console output: No additional Information was received, [110514] Backint terminated successfully without connect SQLSTATE: HY000]. Source: sap02, Process: ClHanaAgent

    Followed procedure from CommVault:

Tried a file restore from HANA Studio, this works from one node to the other node. Topology is the same on both servers.

    Thanks in advance.

Please check the backup.log and backint.log at trace location what is causig this.

You said replication using two nodes. you broke the replication for restore?

Also attach me the CLHananaAgent.log/restore.out from job result for this jobs/backup.log and backint.log from trace location?

The replication was not yet setup, so they are two separate Hana datanse servers with the same database (PH1) name and tenant (P1D).

Attached, you see a few logfiles

We just did a cross system restore from Hana Studio, with backint.
All looks fine, so the cross reastore works from Studio, but cannot be initiated from Commvault.

Hello! First you need to restore SystemDB. And then the tenant. Have you fulfilled this condition?
