Hi, I am looking for a clustered commcell which just has comm services working in a HA mode with SQL server outside the cluster. Is it possible to create a 2 node Windows cluster and install all commvault services except DB and Media and then point that to a SQL server ?

All media servers and clients connect to the Windows cluster name to get commvault services ...is that an agreed architecture from commvault ? I checked all the documentation and could not get a proper answer for the same...any pointers will be helpful

No, this is not a recommended architecture. We have seen performance issues when SQL server is outside the Commserve.

    Thanks,

    Praveen
