    Hi,

I want to run an Incremental backup after a Synthetic full as a schedule.

In the schedule, I've selected Synthetic full then incremental backup after syntethic full. It is still not running. I check with support and they said this is not support with intellisnap.

Any suggestions to go around it?

I've tried to add another schedule to a predefined time to do Incremental Intellisnap, but for subclients that are big and taking 12 hours for Synthetic backup it is failing because saying another backup is running

    Thanks

    Hi mheloy

What type of IDA is the Intellisnap setup for (are we doing catalog or no catalog)?

Can you please confirm are you also doing Backup Copy to Disk/Tape?

    Regards

    Winston

Check your options to queue schedule jobs in the contol pannel options.

    Hi mhelyoy

It looks like Synthetic Full for VMWare IntelliSnap is a supported functionality (https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=36400.htm), not sure why it was mentioned not supported..

Likewise as recommended by farmer, you can also use the following option "To queue jobs if they conflict with other currently running jobs, select the Queue jobs if other conflicting jobs are active check box." (Documentation - https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=6308.htm)

Try the above option and keep us posted.

    Regards

    Sorry for misleading.

I mean running incremental Intellisnap after a Synthetic full via a scheduled policy is not supported.

So far the job management tick box is working for me.

    Thanks again all
