we are migrating from centos6 to centos7 machines with the same ip and hostname.

I want to reinstall/reconfigure the new client in my commvault environment. What is the best practice to do that?

    Thanks in Advance

    Hi Thomas

The following documentation ( is a good starting point as it goes over the process and pre-req when doing a MediaAgent hardware refresh

Uninstalling and reinstalling can be done either on the client CLI on through the Commvault UI.  What concerns do you have?  In my experience, the most common issue this can have is when you try to register too many clients at simultaneously if the CommServe is running under specifications.
