    Hello Team,

I would like some guidance on the setup of Intelli Snap.

I would like to go as per doc

    https://support.purestorage.com/Solutions/Commvault/CommVault_IntelliSnap_for_Oracle_Databases_on_Pure_Storage

    1. I will be using Huawei OceanStor 6800 and ZS7-2 instead of Pure Storage Flash Array to test.

    2. I would like to know how many servers should I provision if I would go for the architecure shown below.

    3. What is the requirement for setting up the proxy server?

    4. How should I create the volume to the OceanStor Huawei storage and map it to the commvault virtual machine?

    5. In section "Flash Array configuration for IntelliSnap software", like I mentioned above, I will be using Huawei Oceanstor 6800. Should I login to Huawei Oceanstor 6800 Web interface instead of Pure Storage?

    6. Are the steps same for "Commvault Array Management Setup" for Huawei Oceanstor and ZS7-2?

    Please advise.

    Thanks,

    Roshan

You may want to review the specific Huawei documentation - http://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=33648.htm

    Hi,

    thanks for the link

    https://support.purestorage.com/Solutions/Commvault/CommVault_IntelliSnap_for_Oracle_Databases_on_Pure_Storage

What is the purpose of Storage volume on the commserve machine?

If I want the commserve database to be on the Media Agent (as per diagram shown above), how should I proceed?

    Regards,

    Roshan

    Hi Roshan

Just want to get some clarification, what do you mean by CommServe Database?

If this is the CommServe Database which stores all the information on the CommServe, you can't have it anywhere else beside the CommServe.

However if you are referring to another Database, please do share the details.

    Regards

    Winston
