    Hello,
I want to install an additional Media Agent. A device with local disks will be used as a new Media Agent. What will be the best practice?
    1. Create a separate disk library (local drives) and use separate storage policies on this library?
    or
    2. Use an existing disk library, expanding it using Mount Path to a new media agent?

    Hi dummyguy

If you are planning to introduce a new MediaAgent with Local Disk, the best practice would be to install a new MediaAgent and configure a new Disk Library.

If you have an existing DDB, you can consider adding another DDB partition (however the load will only balance out over time when Backup meet retention).

Here is a good guide to walk you through the basics - https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=43647.htm

    Thank you
